My mission was to create a digital experience that felt as artisanal and high-quality as the pasta itself.
2. The Concept: “Ancient Grain, Modern Table”
I developed a design strategy that focused on “Premium Simplicity.” The goal was to make the product the hero while educating the customer on the benefits of Teff.
Elevated Visual Storytelling: I used a refined, warm color palette that evokes the natural origins of the grain and the elegance of Italian dining. High-resolution photography was utilized to showcase the texture and authenticity of the pasta.
Educational User Journey: I designed the homepage to guide users through the brand’s story—explaining the “Ethiopia to Italy” journey—before leading them to the shop. This builds value before the customer even looks at the price.
Streamlined Product Discovery: I simplified the product pages, making it easy for “health-conscious foodies” to understand the nutritional benefits and quickly add products to their cart.

For the development phase, I focused on creating a lightweight, high-performance site that looks beautiful on any device. I optimized the Shopify backend to handle smooth transitions and fast load times, ensuring that the high-quality images didn’t compromise the mobile shopping experience.
